Wattle Day

Friday 2 September 2011

Working with members of Batesford-Fyansford-Stonehaven Landcare Group, students from Covenant College, Geelong, together with their teachers, John Rees and Stephen Demetriou, learned to identify 8 species of Acacia in the Sanctuary.

They also planted Acacia implexa. The students made wattle seed muffins for morning tea and pumpkin and wattle seed damper to have with a barbecue lunch. To end the day they explored the Dog Rocks outcrop.
