National Tree Day

Sunday 27 July 2014

It was a fine cool morning, perfect for planting. We had about 40 enthusiastic planters assisting us, and many of them were children which was good to see. We are hoping that one day they will take over from us and become Landcarers themselves!

After a big morning planting we shared a delicious lunch at the Belcher homestead where we were able to chat and get to know each other better.

Later George Belcher took some of us on a walk through the woodland and by the river to learn more about on this rare remnant bushland and sanctuary.
